What3Words

SOS requests may be annotated with 3 words. These words help identify location.

What 3 Words divided the world into 3 metre squares and gave each square a unique combination of three words. When an SOS request is made we show the three words to help an emergency responder find the correct location.

This is a commonly used method, the vast majority of emergency responders are familiar with it.
